Dushanbe - the Oriental Express

Vsem privet!

This is my first full day in Dushanbe. I generally like the city and enjoy meeting people here. Nice, hospital, open hearted, beautiful - these are the features of Tajik people. The city is green, has old buildings, and hosts many women wearing halats that look like extravagant underwear. Well, no more words, al said at pictures:

King Samoni (if i'm not mistaken) - the father of all Tajiks
A ball with "Dushanbe" on it

Rakhat Tea-kana - the most famous place to go in Dushanbe

Central water master piece in Dushanbe

Ministry of something

It's not a railway station - it's a historical museum

Semana Santa

Also in Copan.. this is on the street.. made of sawdust and then painted .. used for processions on Good Friday... the biggest holiday in Central America.. the days leading up to Easter.....
Denis - at the base of a Hierogrlyphic Stairway built between 711 and 736 BC by Ruler #15 known as Smoke Shell.. no joke!

More funny birds

Again, they are real.. and they don't talk.. but they are colorful... this was in Copan .. the site of ancient Mayan Ruins..
